I don’t think there’s been a more viral casual winter boot this year! After reading a lot of reviews I went for the UGG Classic Mini Platform Boot in Chestnut instead which I found on sale, score! As there’s not a lot of difference visually between them. If you’re considering the Ugg classic ultra mini platform boots or UGG classic mini platform boots read this review first. I wanted to share and review these viral boots with you while there’s a lot of sales going on. As well as explain the differences and my on these 2 trending styles.

Are UGG’s in style
UGGs have been massively trending for the last couple of years after being out of style for so long. The style going most viral are the women’s UGG classic ultra mini boots. Mainly because so many celebrities have been spotted in them including Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lopez, Elsa Hosk, Jennifer Garner, Kendall Jenner, and Joan Smalls. Not to mention how comfortable, warm and affordable they are. At least compared to the prices of a lot of other designer boots celebs tend to favor.

I’m 5’2”, so I love a good platform for cheating some height but still having the comfort of a flat, so of course I wanted to jump on this trend but I’d read so many bad reviews on the ultra mini. About how they were hard to get on and difficult to walk in as they slipped off the heels.
So I went for the UGG Classic Mini Platform Boot which has a slightly taller shaft instead, as I hadn’t seen any negative reviews on these. Although the sizing reviews were mixed so I wasn’t sure what to order. I’ve linked both styles below so you can check them out.
I have a ton of black boots and tend to prefer UGGS in tan or chestnut, which is also the most on trend color right now that’s been going viral.

If you’re wondering in UGG mini platform boots run big, small or true to size, most of the reviews say this specific style runs true to size. Are UGG classic mini platform boots comfortable
One of the things I love the most about UGG boots is how comfortable, soft and warm they are. So yes, I find them comfortable, when I have the right size! They’re like walking on clouds, especially when they’re brand new and the linings still super fluffy. I always have cold feet, so I love how warm Uggs keep my feet.
I tend to wear them without socks unless it’s really cold or I’m wearing them to and from a hot yoga class. However, if the 6 is too small, I’m just going to keep the 7 and wear socks.
The only downside, which is a huge one, is that I don’t feel safe driving in platforms so I wouldn’t feel safe driving in them. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that before I got them, whoops! Since they’re more of a casual, running errands kind of a boot, that doesn’t really make them that practical. So unless, my husband’s driving these won’t get as much wear as I’d hoped.
What’s the difference between the women’s UGG classic ultra mini platform boots and UGG classic mini platform boots
Both the women’s UGG classic ultra mini platform boots and UGG classic mini platform boots have the same 2” platform. It’s the shaft that’s different. It’s 5″ on the UGG classic mini boots versus 3.5” on the ultra mini boots.
The other difference is the shape of the top of the boots. The Ugg ultra mini has an asymmetrical top line versus the classic mini boots being straight across the top.
How to care for your Ugg boots
Uggs do have some waterproof boots but these styles aren’t one of them. So you’ll definitely want to spray them with a good suede protector first. Ugg makes their own All Gender Care Kit or you can just search for one online.

Are the Ugg mini platform boots worth it
I’m not sure if I’m going to just keep them as a house shoe or wear them out yet. One because I don’t think I’ll be able to drive in them and two because their slippers are a pretty similar price anyway. Plus these are more supportive and warm than their slippers because they give more coverage.
I like the fact the color will go with pretty much anything. If I do wear them out, they’ll definitely be more of a casual, everyday Fall/Winter boot that I tend to style with loungewear, leggings, sweater dresses, knit sets, or even something like the knit jumpsuit in the video.

Should Uggs be worn tucked in or worn over trousers | How to Style UGG Boots The Right Way
Whether you tuck your pants into your UGG boots or wear them over the top all depends on the style of pants you’re wearing. It has nothing to do with what generation you’re from as some articles have ben suggesting. Yes, some generations might lean to more fitted versus baggier styles but it’s all to do with the style of trousers you’re wearing and nothing to do with your age.
The general rule is for tighter fitting styles like leggings, skinny jeans, joggers, or tights tuck them in. I don’t think you could wear them over them, even if you tried!
For looser, wide leg styles like wide leg jeans and sweatpants wear them over them or do a French tuck where the front is tucked and the back is out. It just looks best, unless you want to create a balloon effect with your pants.
Obviously, there’s exceptions. Maybe you’re tucking them in because it’s wet out and you don’t want your trousers dragging through puddles. You do you and whatever you think looks best.
