The best part about this year’s fall manicure trends is that they just sound delicious. Moscow mule nails? So refreshing. Chai latte nails? Yum. And now, a new flavor has entered the fall chat: Just in time for the cooler season, Selena Gomez debuted apple cider nails, created by her go-to manicurist, Tom Bachik.
Food-inspired nails are nothing new, but the quippy names always get us excited to head to the salon. On October 2, Bachik posted a photo of Gomez on Instagram, where she was wearing the apple-colored manicure while dabbing on Rare Beauty’s new finishing powder.
Although Gomez’s exact shade hasn’t yet been revealed, we know Bachik preps each manicure using his Tweezerman x Tom Bachik Ultimate Nail Care Set. The red hue isn’t as bright as a classic “Parisian red,” but doesn’t lean too far into the burgundy category. It looks like a rustic, muted color, truly like the shade of a delicious red apple. We’d also bet that based on the reflective shine the nails have the tiniest swipe of a chrome finish. For the shape, the Rare Beauty founder opted for a long square.
In the photos, Gomez’s hair is styled in a pretty voluminous blowout with curls that twist outward for a bouncy, fresh feel. Her glam is radiant and glowy, with a touch of pink highlighter on her cheekbones to pair with her grey smoky eye. The finishing touch was her nude lip gloss.
As for our shade guesses, the Aprés color in Vampire Drunk could be a good fit, as well as Olive & June’s Mulberry and Essie’s Forever Yummy if you want to try to get the look at home. Drink up!
